Hello, World

I built Focused because every productivity app I tried made me feel less productive.

They all had the same problem: too many features, too many options, too many ways to procrastinate by organizing instead of doing. I wanted something that would just let me plan my day, focus on one task at a time, and reflect on my week.

The core ideas

One day at a time. You don't need a project hierarchy or a backlog of 200 tasks. You need to know what you're doing today.

One task at a time. The pomodoro timer isn't just a countdown — it's a commitment to single-tasking. Pick a task, start the timer, do the work.

Weekly reflection. At the end of the week, look back. What did you actually ship? What got in the way? Write it down and move on.

What's next

I'm building this in the open. This blog ("Words") is where I'll share what I'm working on, what I've learned, and the occasional behind-the-scenes look at building a small SaaS as a solo developer.

If you have feedback or ideas, I'd love to hear from you.
